The Textured Tower by COLL-BARREU ARQUITECTOS is open / Abierta la Torre Texturizada de COLL-BARREU ARQUITECTOS

A few months ago we published on the blog some pictures of the Textured Tower under construction. Now the tower is finished and in use. It is again a building without constructive details. The concrete and steel are virtually the only materials used. We are concerned to avoid finishing elements. So much so that the memory of the process of the construction work remains alive in the building. This means that the user can access the same subject of the project. The project and use come to coincide. It also makes us feel awake, not well-to-do.

Hace unos pocos meses publicamos en el blog fotografías en construcción de la Torre Texturizada. Ahora la torre ya está terminada y en uso. Es otra vez un edificio sin detalles constructivos. El hormigón y el acero son prácticamente los únicos materiales utilizados. Nos hemos preocupado por evitar los elementos de acabado. Tanto es así que en el edificio permanece vivo el recuerdo del proceso de construcción. Eso hace que el usuario pueda acceder a la misma materia del proyecto. El proyecto y el uso se acercan hasta coincidir. También hace que nos sintamos despiertos, no acomodados.
