Anatxu Zabalbeascoa writes today in El País about the E8 building, recently completed by COLL-BARREU ARQUITECTOS. For the essayist, "the property is not mimicking the environment nor is left to absorb. It's a factory building signed by Juan Coll-Barreu and Daniel Gutiérrez Zarza that stacks offices up to form an artificial mountain. From its glass planes, and its radical artifice, the building wants to mark its presence at the time, since the same groundbreaking language, seeking, paradoxically, welcome to the natural environment".
Anatxu Zabalbeascoa escribe hoy en El País sobre el Edificio E8, recientemente terminado por COLL-BARREU ARQUITECTOS. Para la ensayista, "el inmueble ni se mimetiza con el entorno ni se deja absorber por él. Se trata de un edificio facetado
firmado por Juan Coll-Barreu y Daniel Gutiérrez Zarza que apila
despachos hasta formar una montaña artificial. Desde sus planos
acristalados, y desde su radical artificiosidad, el inmueble quiere
marcar su presencia al tiempo que, desde el mismo idioma rompedor,
busca, paradójicamente, saludar al entorno natural".
